ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kari Magni

Kari Magni is a teacher and artist residing in Miyagi Prefecture, in Northern Japan.  She was raised in the north-east of the United States and spent most of her summers outside at camps or traveling. While in elementary school, her art teacher pointed out that she had some natural talent in art, inspiring her mother to enroll her in oil painting classes.    Kari loves bright and colorful pictures, and enjoys mixed medium art.

Moving to the most vibrant city of New Orleans in 2004, she expanded her view of the world of art, exploring photography, ceramics, and film.  Desiring to travel more, she reluctantly left New Orleans to explore the world.

All of Kari’s works are inspired by the beauty of the natural world as well as the unique sites from her travels.  Colorful, and vivid prints, and greeting cards, as well as beautiful, and playful scenes and animal photographs are among some of the items available.  Such products would be great for gift shops, and card stores.
